CALL EVERYDAY

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer

Phone: 202-224-6542

Senator Chuck Schumer, I am writing (calling) in your capacity as Senate minority leader. Please do not allow Senate Democrats to cave  into Republicans on the spending package. That you are thinking of allowing Trump some rescissions and are not demanding a reversal of tax cuts for the richest Americans. In short, you are not using your leverage to fight for popular policies. If true, this is unconscionable and exactly why Democrats have no faith in our leadership. Say NO to any rescissions. Demand: ● A permanent extension of the ACA tax credits ● A reversal of all Medicaid cuts, and ● A reversal of tax cuts for billionaires. Otherwise, all Democrats MUST VOTE NO. Do the right thing. Fight back. Regain some ground and some respect.  Thank you.

House Minority Leader Rep Hakeem Jeffries

(202) 225-5936

Rep. Jeffries, I am writing in your capacity as House minority leader. Please ensure the House Democrats vote no on the upcoming Continuing Resolution unless it contains provisions preventing all future rescissions codifying a permanent extension of the ACA tax credits, reversing all Medicaid cuts, and reversing Trump’s tax cuts for billionaires. These are popular policies that will help Democrats regain the respect they have lost. Thanks.

Call to Representatives

A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER WHEN YOU CALL
  • 1 / BE SPECIFIC

    • State what you are calling about and why you are concerned.

  • 2 / REQUEST A RESPONSE

    • "I WOULD LIKE TO RECIEVE A RESPONSE TO MY CALL"

    • Tell the staffer on the phone that you would like a response.

  • 3 / ASK FOR ACTION ITEMS

    • "Tell me, what are the representative's plans regarding this issue?"

  •  If you leave a voicemail message: Please leave your full street address to ensure your call is tallied. Also, it has been recommended that you call both the Congress members’ DC and District Offices.

"Once your congressperson forms a public stance on an issue, it’s hard for them to walk it back. The earlier they hear your opinion, the more likely it is you’ll make an impact.
Calling is by far the most effective way to ensure that your representative hears you before they take a public stance."
